Rebecca Congdon, LMSW, joined the University of Michigan Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Program in October 2010. Ms. Congdon received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. Prior to coming to the University of Michigan, Ms. Congdon worked in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient mental health. In May 2013, Ms. Congdon became a board member for Second Chance at Life and is also a member of the Kidney and Pancreas Quality Improvement Committee, and the Young Adult Transition Committee at the University of Michigan. Ms. Congdon was also awarded research funding from the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) and Practice Oriented Research Training (PORT) and is currently studying the role of social support and post-transplant adherence.
